Joel Weston Buckley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joel Weston Buckley, who left this world on September 17, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on October 21, 1953, in Weatherford, TX, Joel was a beloved member of the Brazoria County community since the 1970s. 

Joel lived a life filled with adventure and joy. In his younger years, he could be found swimming in the lake with his siblings, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime. His love for the outdoors was undeniable; whether he was fishing, camping, or traveling, Joel embraced every opportunity to soak in the beauty of nature. 

He is survived by his brother, Jerry Buckley, Sr., and sister, Delores Buckley Pryor, along with numerous nieces and nephews: Jim, Jennifer, Misty, Cindy, Jerry Jr., Jimmy, Michael, and Rose. Joel also leaves behind his great nieces and nephews who will fondly remember their uncle.

 He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Larkin and Lillie (Watkins) Buckley, and his brother, Johnny Buckley.
