Jeri Kay Johannsen

Jeri Kay Johannsen, a beloved wife, mother, and an esteemed member of her community, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, in Angleton, Texas. She was born on June 10, 1959, in Paris, Texas.

Jeri's career as the owner of rental properties was a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and her unwavering commitment to providing homes for others.

Jeri’s legacy extends far beyond her career. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, David Johannsen, whose partnership defined their life together. Their bond was marked by laughter, shared dreams, and an unconditional love that inspired those around them.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, David Johannsen; sons, Jeremy Borne, Jordan Johannsen, and Brittain Johannsen; grandchildren, Alaina Borne, Alanna Borne, Ally Johannsen, and Levi Johannsen; and sister, Leslie Bauman.

Jeri was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Jerry Slayden and Edna Slayden, who instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion. Their guidance accompanied her throughout her life, shaping her into the remarkable woman she became. Along with her siblings, sister, Sherry Slayton, brother, Christopher Slayton.

Jeri's spirit will live on through her family and friends, who will carry her memory in their hearts. Her kindness, strength, and devotion to those she loved will forever illuminate the lives she touched. As we remember Jeri, we celebrate not only her achievements and her love for her family but also the light she brought into our lives. She is missed dearly and will forever remain in our hearts.
