James Richard Francis Riden

James Richard Francis Riden went into the arms of Jesus on September 11, 2025. Baby James came into this world on February 12, 2025, in Houston when he was born to Richard and Jordan (Driscoll) Riden. James was born with Treacher Collin’s Syndrome and Pierre Robin sequence which caused him to spend the first three months of his life in the NICU. Despite not being able to go home with his family at first, James showed incredible strength and resilience.

Though his time on this earth may have been short, let us never discount the beautiful impression that he left behind. James had a contagious smile and big blue eyes that captured the hearts of many.

James loved to be held, especially by his mom. He loved walks, baths and his fox stuffed animal. James enjoyed being outside and playing with his older siblings.

James lives on through his parents Richard and Jordan Riden; grandparents: Wendy Riden, Victoria Driscoll and Linda Fisher; siblings: Jack and Julianne Riden; aunts and uncles: Chelsea and Daren Merritt, Isaac Riden, Carol Spendiff, William and Patricia White, Colin Driscoll, Patrick Whittier, Steven and Sarah Cabral, Cheryl and Jade Hynes and William Fisher; cousins: Gabriel and Beckett Ramirez, William Merritt, Cambree Collard, Benjamin and Hannah White, Ace and Carter Bucknor; and numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Lake Jackson.
