Jackson Jacob Sims

August 18, 2003 — June 3, 2025

Angleton

It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Jackson Jacob Sims, who left us on June 3rd, 2025, at the age of 21.

Born on August 18th, 2003, Jackson was a proud 2021 graduate of Angleton High School, where he showcased his love for music as a dedicated percussionist in the AHS band. He was a senior at the University of Houston, just months shy of graduating in December 2025 with his Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies. His passion for political science extended beyond the classroom; he was an active and engaged member of the Model UN at UH and had aspirations of attending law school. He approached his studies with dedication and a keen intellect, always eager to learn and engage with the world around him. He dreamed of a future where he could help others, a testament to his deeply compassionate nature.

Jackson was a kind, sweet soul who embraced everyone he met with an open heart, always putting others first. He had a wonderful silly and witty side that brought laughter and joy to those around him. He was a supportive little brother to Whitney and Ethan, always there to cheer them on or offer a listening ear. His love for nature was evident in his favorite pastime: hunting axis deer in Rocksprings, TX, a cherished tradition he shared with his Pawpaw and dad. These moments in the outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of creation, brought him immense joy and peace. He also had a special place in his heart for cats, finding comfort and companionship in their gentle presence.

He leaves behind his loving parents, Michael and Angela, his sister Whitney and brother-in-law Drew, his brother Ethan, his Pawpaw and Mamaw, Lee and Celina Odale, Grandpa Sims, and a wide circle of family and friends who will miss him dearly. Jackson's gentle spirit, his accepting nature, his quiet strength, and his infectious wit touched the lives of so many. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will resonate forever.

A memorial service to celebrate Jackson’s life will be held on Saturday, June 7th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Palms Funeral Home, 2300 E Mulberry St, Angleton, TX 77515.
