On December 16, 2020, his 67th birthday, Jackie Earl Penn, of Angleton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was born on December 16, 1953 in Sherman, Texas. At 5 years old, his family moved to Columbia County, New York where he graduated from Ichabod Crane High School in 1972. Jackie joined the Marine Corps after graduation and travelled the world in service to his country. He faithfully served from 1972-1977, achieving the rank of Sergeant. In 1978 he moved to Angleton where he worked for many years in the steel fabricating business. Jackie had a passion for music, classic cars and martial arts. Mr. Penn is survived by his wife, Cindy; his children, Jennifer Hathcock, Paul Penn (Monica), Michael Stanley (Trina) and Steven Stanley; grandchildren, Lauren Hathcock, Preston Hathcock, Pierce Hathcock, Larson Hathcock, Gracie Hathcock, Gavin Hathcock, Paul Penn, Jr., Payton Penn, Jenna Penn, Maze Stanley, and Zoltan Stanley. He is also survived by his brothers, Leonard Knott, Jr. (Cissie), Doyle Knott (Elaine), Bobby Extrom (Pam), Glynn Knott (Bobbie); sisters, Wanda Oakes (Danny) and Norma Lostracco (Roy). Many nieces and nephews also survive him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Knott, Sr. and Margie N. Knott. Mr. Penn will be interred at the Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors. A ceremony celebrating his life will be held at a date to be determined.
