Gregory "Greg" Cuellar, Jr.

On July 16, 2026 our beloved father and devoted husband Gregory Cuellar Jr., 65, of Angleton, TX, entered into eternal rest.

Gregory, affectionately Greg, was the very definition of a true outdoorsman, always welcoming the company of his brothers, children, nephews, and friends, both old and new. He had a lifelong passion for art and was blessed with the creativity and skilled hands to work across many mediums, generously sharing his talents with those around him.

Greg cherished his wife, family, and friends, and his life was enriched by the love they shared. As a gifted storyteller, he never passed up an opportunity to recount adventures from his favorite hunting grounds in Freer, the deserts of West Texas, or the cold rivers of the Texas Hill Country that brought him so much joy.

Above all else, his greatest gift was the love he shared for the Lord our God. His steadfast faith was the foundation of his life and a lasting legacy to all who knew and loved him.

Greg is preceded in death by his father, Gregorio Cuellar, treasured mother, Elvira (Estrello) Cuellar, brother, Robert Cuellar, and nephew, Benjamin Gregory Cuellar.

Greg is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Helen (Martinez) Cuellar, daughter Ginamarie Gregoria (Jason Fortaleza) Cuellar of Irvine, CA, sons Gregory Cuellar III and Zachary Eli Cuellar of Angleton, TX, and Santos “JR” (Alicia) Manzano of Cypress, TX, and cherished granddaughters, Kaiya Grace Fortaleza, Iris Manzano, Annabelle Manzano, and Eleanor Manzano.

In addition, Greg is survived by his loving siblings Gilbert (Lupe) Cuellar of Freeport, TX, Alice (Domingo) Perales of Angleton, TX, Genevieve (Paul) Normand of Angleton, TX, Reuben (Liz) Cuellar of Freeport, TX, Hector (Mary) Cuellar of Freer, TX, Mario (Cheryl) Cuellar of Brazoria, TX, Christine “Tina” (Michael) Gregg of Angleton, TX, and many nephews, nieces, great-nephew, and great-nieces.

Pallbearers carrying Dad to his final resting place will be Gregory Cuellar III, Zachary Eli Cuellar, Santos “J.R.” Manzano Jr., Reuben James Cuellar, Richard Cuellar, Lewis Cuellar, Mark Cuellar, and Jeffrey Perales.
