Georgia Kay (Sam) Green, 68 was born on Oct. 21, 1957 in Dallas Texas to Carl David Smith and Bobbie Lee Stanley and passed away January 9th 2026 after a hard fight with cancer.
As a child her father gave her the nickname, Sam, which she was known as to her family and closest friends. Sam was a loving, fun mother to her children and grandchildren. Later in life she found and married her soul mate Ken. They were blessed with twelve wonderful years together. Sam carried the lessons of passion, hard work and dedication while working with Ken at their restaurant, Capt Ken's. Compassion is the word that comes to mind when thinking of her. To her family and many others she was a beacon of joy and hope on the toughest of days. The light she brought to this world is greatly missed. RIP my Sam
