Garnet Albert Latour February 28,1939 January 26, 2022 Garnet A Latour was born on February 28, 1939 in Beauharnois, Quebec to George Latour and Inez (Hunter) Latour. The oldest of 8 children, Garnet joined the U.S. Army where he later met and married Doreen McCormies in 1963. After leaving the Army, he went to work at the V. A. Hospital in Houston where he remained until his retirement in 2002. In 1973, the family moved to Angleton so the kids could grow up in a small close knit community. He was always concerned about others and would do all he could to help out. He was preceded in death by his wife Doreen, father, mother and 6 siblings. Left to cherish his memories are his brother Wesley (Joy) Clark, sisters-in-law Barbara LaTour and Darlene Van Roekel, sons Chris (Courtney) Latour and Robert (Brandy) Latour, daughter Michelle (Jeff) Bolton , grandchildren Colten Latour, Jacob (Anju) Bolton , Lacey Latour, Cameron (James) Peters and Sarah Bolton, great grandchildren Emma and Jackson Casbeer and Lillian Peters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a private graveside service for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Veterans of Foreign Wars or a charity of your choice. Service Details.
