It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fredric Dale Miller, age 68, of Danbury, Texas, on May 24, 2025. Fredric, known affectionately as Fred, was born on June 22, 1956, in Scottsburg, Indiana. He lived a life rich with love, laughter, and a profound passion for the great outdoors.
Fredric married his beloved wife, Kathy (Allen) Miller, in 1980. He was a devoted husband to and cherished every moment spent with her, embracing their shared interests and adventures with enthusiasm and joy.
An ultimate outdoorsman, Fred relished in the beauty of nature through hunting, fishing, and camping. He found true happiness in these moments, he also cherished being outside accompanied by his loyal dogs—Scooby, Lulu, and Jack. Fred had a playful spirit and an infectious love for life, as demonstrated by his baking cookies and enjoying movies with his son, Eric. He had a love for music and could often be heard singing. He was a passionate foodie, with Whataburger holding a special place in his heart as his favorite spot to grab a burger.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; his children: Bradley Miller (wife, April), Eric Miller, Keith Miller (wife, Amanda), Claire Ramos (husband, Rene), Dancie Larson (husband, Brannon), and Summer Miller, his brothers: Joe Miller, Phil Miller and Jim Miller, his sister, Judy Phipps, and his grandchildren: Gretchen Miller, John Ramos, and Cohen Larson.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Coolie and Lena (Parks) Miller, and his brother, Paul Miller.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Park Cemetery in Alvin, Texas with Pastor David Catoe officiating.
