Frances Sharp Richey

February 7, 1922 — August 10, 2015

Frances Sharp Richey, born February 7th, 1922 on the G.H. Sharp Plantation near Ingalls, Arkansas to Lebert Barksdale Sharp and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Sharp... passed away August 10th, 2015 at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Richey, her parents, brothers Otis Lamar (Bob) Sharp, Garland Hampton (Brown) Sharp, sisters Anne Maxine Sharp, Myrtis Ilene Sharp Sindle and her brother John Raymond Sharp whom preceded her in death by only 7 days. Also preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Melissa Rabb Seyer (John F. Seyer). She is survived by one very devoted daughter, who never left her side, Ann Rabb Curry of Warren, AR and Pearland, TX and one loving son, Jerry W. Norris (Dixie) of Cypress, TX, one grandson, Joshua W. Norris (Elissa) of Cypress, TX and one granddaughter/best friend that she thought hung the moon and the stars…Jamie Rabb Beshoory (Richard) of Pearland, TX formerly of Monticello, AR. She is also survived by 8 great-grandsons Sean Cody Gentry (Lindsay) of Houston, TX, John William Seyer (Samantha) of Houston, TX, Joseph Jordan Cunneff II of Tyler, TX, James Edward Seyer of Sugar Land, TX, Jamison Andrew-Rabb Cunneff of Sugar Land, TX, Pryce Joseph-Edward Beshoory of Pearland, TX, Brody Wayne and Carter Layne Norris of Cypress, TX and one Great-Great Granddaughter, Kennedy Melissa Gentry of Houston, TX and another Great-Great grandchild (Gentry) TBA. What an incredible legacy she leaves behind… Though she was born in Bradley County, she moved to Texas where she spent most of her life. She was in banking and real estate all of her working years. She loved politics and was very staunch in her beliefs. She was never happier than when she was in her rose and vegetable gardens. She belonged to the Baptist Church and in her later years couldn't wait to join her loved ones in heaven. It was always her wish to live long enough for her great-grandsons to be old enough to carry her casket… I think she did just that. Pallbearers are Sean (31), William (28), Jordan (28), James (26), Jamison (25), and Pryce (18). What a glorious sight for her to see from heaven. Funeral services will be at Palms Funeral Home at 2300 E. Mulberry St. (Hwy 35) Angleton, Texas on Sunday, August 16th with visitation at 2:00 pm and the service at 3:00 pm. Interment will be at Union Hill Cemetery, Hermitage, Arkansas on Tuesday, August 18th at 10:00 am where she will be laid to rest beside her loving husband. A special thank you to all who loved and cared for her these past 8 months at Park Manor Southbelt, Houston, TX. She will live on in our hearts forever. Thanks for the laughs Ma… but my heart is broken. Save me a place right next to you in heaven.
