Floyd Jack Gray, 92, of Angleton passed away on July 17, 2025, in Houston. Jack was born to Benjamin Franklin and Mattie Lorilla (McGuffin) Gray on August 21, 1932, in Ranger.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a “frogman”, now known as a navy seal, and made lasting memories with his team.
After the navy, Jack went into the oil business, making many friends and a living, providing for his family. After he retired, he became a cattleman and found great joy tending to his cattle. He could often be found fishing in his pond, traveling to Louisiana, or playing dominoes with his senior buddies, the ACTIONS.
His greatest joy in life was his family. He cherished every moment making memories with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He loved the reunions with extended family every year. This 4th of July he was able to attend his last one, visiting relatives from all over the country who came down. Now he is in Heaven, having another reunion with those who went before him, enjoying every moment with them.
Those that preceded him in death include his first wife, Joan Gray; parents, Mattie and Benjamin Gray; granddaughter, Tiffany Tigner Schlensker; sister, Murdell Rowlett and three brothers, Willard Gray, Ira Gray, and Edmond Gray.
Those left to treasure his memory are his wife, Ray Gray; daughter Marcella Gray Tigner and son Benjamin Franklin Gray; brother, Bob Gray; grandchildren, Katie Gray and Williams Tigner; great grandchildren, Logan Schlensker, Leighton Schlensker, Casen Schlensker, Cadence Tigner, and Jayden Marksberry, along with numerous other family members and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Angleton Cemetery.
