Faith Ann Stevens (Mathews)

Faith Ann Stevens (Mathews), 68 of Angleton, Tx. went to go be with the Lord on Monday, July 22, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family. Faith was born on Tuesday, April 10, 1956 in Freeport, Tx. to Ruby Cassle (McBride) & Eddie Mathews.

She is survived by her 3 children, Angela Keenom (husband Daniel) of Angleton, Tx., Ruby Cruz-Quigley (husband John) of Marshall, Mi., and Robert Autrey of San Antonio, Tx. Life Partner & Best Friend of 13 years, Ray Pepper of Danbury, Tx. She was a proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren & 12 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind seven siblings, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Faith loved the outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing, Carnival cruises, and long walks on the beach.

Faith worked throughout her life as a manager at several businesses. She also went to beauty school. Faith had such a sense of humor about herself, always being honest & straightforward with everyone saying, “Ain’t nothing but a thing” which meant Do not worry about it. She loved crocheting and smoking her cigarettes. Faith had so many friends at the nursing home whom loved and adored her. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Cassle & Eddie Mathews, and her grandmothers whom she dearly loved, Mozell Mathews & Betsy McBride.

A visitation for Faith will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Tx. from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Palms Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 pm.
