Eva Ayala Sauceda
June 29, 1937 – April 7, 2026
Eva Sauceda, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026. She was born on June 29, 1937, in Driscoll, Texas.
Eva was a beloved Daughter, Sister, Mother, Tia, and Grandmother who will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and nurturing heart. As well as being very family oriented and a devout Christian. Throughout her life she was always there for her family and friends. Eva and her late husband Pete always enjoyed cooking together. Whether it was BBQ or tamales, they both poured their heart into each dish and filled it with love.
She is survived by the following members of her family: Lucio Sauceda and his wife Annette Sauceda, Ricky Sauceda and his wife Olivia Sauceda, Geraldo Sauceda, Connie Cantu (Daughter In Law, widowed to Alejandro Daniel Cantu Sr.), Ashley, Cody and Drew (Children of Lucio), Jessica, Ricky Jr., Roxanne, Stefanie (Children on Ricky), Alesha, Yvonne, Jerry Jr. (Children of Geraldo), Amber, Alejandro Jr., Fabian, Xavier (Children of Connie and Alejandro).
Eva also had numerous great and great-great grandchildren she was blessed to have in her life and loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Nauci Ayala, her mother, Juanita Hernandez and her mother’s husband, step-father to Eva, Chano Hernandez. As well as, Pedro Salinas “Pete”, late husband of Eva, Alejandro Daniel Cantu Sr., son of Eva, Stephen andSophia Ferrell, great grandchildren of Eva, Ramon Ayala, brother to Eva, as well as her nephews, Ramon Ayala Jr. and Jesse Ayala.
Eva found so much joy in spending time with her family, dancing, designing and crafting handmade dresses and helping Pete with his construction projects. Her presence brought warmth and love to everyone who knew her. Her legacy will continue to live on through that family and all those she touched.
A viewing service will be held on April 13th, 2026 9:00AM - 11:00AM at Palms Funeral Home located at 2300 E Mulberry St, Angleton, TX 77515.
Eva Sauceda will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
