Ethel Marie Sturm, 86, of Alvin came to the end of her journey on this earth on December 7, 2025. Her life journey began on January 25, 1939, in Buffalo, Texas when she was born to parents Grover and Leta (Slatter) House.
She married Franklin Lee Sturm Sr., on June 7, 1956, in Arcadia, Texas.
Together they built a home that would bring many memories to each generation that came along. Growing up in Galveston, Ethel loved to spend time at the beach with her family and friends sharing memories of her old home and stomping grounds.
Ethel was known for her love of crafts, from knitting, crocheting, and embroidery. She was extremely creative and there wasn't a craft that she came across that she couldn't do or talk her husband into. She also enjoyed traveling around wherever their camper would take them and camping at various lakes across the state.
Those that preceded her in death include her husband Frank Sturm Sr., her parents Grover and Leta House, and her sons: Franklin Lee Sturm Jr. and Martin Sturm.
Left to treasure an abundance of memories include her daughter Pam Brownlee, grandchildren: Crystal (Scott) Gordon, Jarrold "Trey" (Amanda) Rose, Brandee (James) Wilkins, Lindsey (Chad) Allen, Justin (Lynette) Brownlee, Meghan Brownlee, Joshua Sturm, Brandon (Sarah) Sturm, Kirrina (Bryan) Higginbotham; and numerous great grandchildren, other family members, and friends.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Palms Funeral Home, Angleton, Texas.
