Elizabeth Bernal May, 71, of Angleton, Texas passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023. She was born on March 5, 1952, in Panama City, Panama. Elizabeth moved to the United States at fifteen years old and became a US Citizen in 1982. She married Bruce, the love of her life on September 30, 1972, at First Baptist Church in Gordon, Texas, and lived in the Angleton area for over forty-five years. She worked in the May family agriculture business before moving on to sales and marketing and becoming a top salesperson before deciding to stay home and devote her time to raising her children. As an athlete, she loved sports and supporting her children in all their extracurricular endeavors. Elizabeth was full of life and a fiercely loyal friend to those lucky enough to know her. She had a passion for helping people, and a strong sense of citizenship, and the worthy causes she supported will live on with her family. She was a member of Austin Bayou Golf Club, Eastern Star, Republican Women's Club, and the Brazosport Area Christian Women's Connection. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce May, mother Corina Bernal of Panama, and sisters Francis Mary Maddox, Leovy Bernal, and Edith Maddox Rodgers. Elizabeth is survived by her children Mindy Price and husband Travis of Angleton, Michael May and wife Amy of Texas City, brothers Roberto Antonio Bernal and Allen C. Maddox, Jr. both of Panama City, Panama, and grandchildren John Tristan Price, Gavin English Price, and Cannon Bruce May. Visitation will be held June 22, 2023, beginning at 10:00 am at Life Church, Angleton. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am with Sonny Bowman and David Maulsby presiding with interment following the service at Angleton Cemetery. After the services, a gathering of family and friends will be hosted at the home of her daughter, Mindy Price. Harry Murphy, David Beck, Danny Cochran, Daniel Cochran, Brian Blaha, Willy Sawyer, Tristan Price, Gavin Price, and Cannon May will serve as pallbearers. The family requests attendees wear colorful clothing to celebrate a beautiful soul.
