Douglas Ray Smith, 79, of Angleton passed away on Saturday in Angleton. Graveside services are set for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, at the Angleton Cemetery Pavilion. Doug was born November 30, 1932 in Dallas, Texas to Issac Russell Smith & Grace Curbo and was a member of 2nd Baptist Church and the Adult 5 Men. He retired from Dow Chemical as a Research Chemist. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Survivors include his wife Betty Smith, Sons; David E. Smith & fianc Darenda Ince of Dallas & J. Eric Smith of Angleton. Daughter; Pattie Smith-McNesse & husband Mac McNesse of Angleton. Grandchildren; Lindsey Marie Smith, Emily Anne Smith & Allyson Noelle Smith.
