Donna Kathryn Foley died peacefully in her home early Sunday morning July 13, 2025, at the age of 77. Donna was born February 27, 1948 to parents Richard and Barbara Schultz of Missouri. Her family later relocated to Lake Jackson, Texas, where she then attended Brazosport high school, making lifelong friends. Donna married the love of her life, Jerry Foley, on July 27, 1967, to whom she was married for 52 years. Donna devoted her life to raising and loving her three children, and later five grandchildren. Whether it was sleep overs and movies when her grandchildren were little, weenie roasts every year in the winter, or shopping trips as they got older, she never grew weary of spending time with her family. Her door and her arms were always open. She treated every visit from her family and friends as if it was the greatest gift. One of her famous quotes was “this was such a sweet surprise!“, even if the person had just seen her the day before. Time with family and friends brought her so much joy. The things of this world did not matter to her. People did. She stated many times that she felt her purpose here on earth was to pray for her loved ones. She was a prayer warrior. Her Faith in Christ was her number one priority in life, happily spending her Sunday mornings at Remnant Church, with her church family. She made it her mission to share Christ’s love with all that she encountered. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, a.k.a. “Nanny’s prayer garden“, and took pride in tending to her yard. Amongst those she loved were her neighbors, who were more than neighbors, and much more like a second family to her. She built a blessed community for herself, and surely did store up her treasures in heaven. Donna was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Foley, son Shane Foley, parents Richard and Barbara Schultz, and brother Richard Schultz. She is survived by her daughter Lanna Webb and husband Russell Webb, her daughter Shara Nelson and husband Ben Nelson. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Lane Webb and wife Chassity Webb, Zoe Sargent and husband Camden Sargent, Sonni Nelson and fiancé William Cox, Aliyah Nelson and Zadok Nelson. Her first great grandchild, Josie Webb, is due in September. Graveside services will be held at Angleton cemetery, Thursday July 17th at 2pm. All are welcome.
