Donna Sue Morrow

Donna Sue Spinks was born on September 17, 1946 to Powell T. Spinks and Helen Irene Sims. She was born in Riverdale, Maryland and spent her early years in Camp Springs, Hyattsville, and Adelphi, Maryland. In the early 1960s the family moved to McKinney, Texas to be near her maternal grandmother.

Donna met Dennis White, married and had three sons. After they divorced, she worked in inventory control for a large retail company called Kennedy and Cohen in Dallas.

In 1973 James Morrow was transferred to the Dallas store and they soon began dating. ln 1981 James's father had health problems. They married and moved to Angleton where they shared their lives. She became the office manager for Houston Helicopters and stayed there for almost 30 years. She enjoyed collecting Department 56 houses and making many friends. She later found a love for dog sitting and making friends in a Lake Travis community.

She passed away at home with James by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her sons and their families, Dennis W. White and wife Melanie Ann of Kiowa Lakes, Texas, Devin S. White and wife Kim of Lufkin, Texas, Derrick J. White and wife Dawn of Angleton, Texas, her brother and his family, Powell T. Spinks and wife Diane of Yantis, Texas; She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews with loving cousins. She will be missed by all who knew her.

There will be a celebration of Life at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 30, 2025. You are welcome to attend and then join a gathering at their home in Angleton.
