Diane Roberts Taylor passed peacefully on the morning of April 2nd after two very important assurances occurred. 1..her granddaughter Katie would care for her Baby cat, and 2.. her grandson, Jon, FaceTimed from Minnesota so she could hear the new great-grandbaby Lynnea coo and gurgle.
Diane lived a life filled with determination and adventure. From Durham Business School to beauty school, she pursued owning her own beauty shop after working at a shop owned by Mildred in Angleton. Later, she worked with the Sakowitz Beauty Salon in Houston for just shy of 10 years. Her desire for adventure took her to Boston, New Jersey, and Switzerland, working as an aesthetician training with Lancôme cosmetics, eventually landing in New York at Macy’s on 34th Street, where she was a make-up artist with frequent counter visits from Robert De Niro, Liam Neeson, and Jack Nicholson.
Later, she returned to Angleton to care for her mom and dad, Lorraine and Jack Roberts in their final years. For her spiritual growth, she enjoyed serving as a lector at the Catholic Church for ten years.
Diane leaves behind daughter Peni, son-in-law Chris Green, and grandson Jon, as well as his family, Paula, Clara, and Lynnea. grandson Lee and significant other Danielle, granddaughter Sadie, her husband James, grandson Xander, and granddaughter Katie Christine. As well as her beautiful sister, Barby, who resides at Cypress Woods.
In lieu of flowers, Diane requested donations to B.I.G. Love Cancer Care.
Services are to be held at Palms Funeral Home on Sunday, April 7. The viewing is at noon, with the service following at 1:00. Her body will be laid to rest in East Texas with her Mother and Daddy.
