David Lamar Ennis

David Lamar Ennis, 75, of Angleton, TX passed away on July 17, 2025, after a lengthy and hard-fought 7-year battle with lung cancer. David was born in Port Sulphur, LA on February 6, 1950. His family moved from Louisiana to Freeport, TX when he was 14 years old where David attended Brazosport High School. He worked for The Dow Chemical Company for many years but retired when he was 62 to spend time with his grandsons. He loved taking them fishing, watching them play baseball and compete in competitive shotgun events or just having them and all of their friends at his house on the bayou.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 24 years, Karen, his daughter, Trixie McCall and her husband Jack, and the absolute joys of his life, his grandsons, Cade and Cole McCall; his brother Allen Ennis and his wife, Darlene, and his sister-in-law Gay Ennis. Also, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Phillip Ennis.

Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his oncologist, Dr. Garth Beinart and his radiation oncologist, Dr. Andrew Farach for their amazing care over the last 7 years.

Per his wishes, no services will be held. Please spend some time doing what you love with your family while remembering our sweet Papa.
