Cynthia Lynette (Zambada) Charles

Cynthia Lynette Zambada, 47, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, surrounded by those she loved most. Born on March 1, 1978, in Angleton, Texas, to Arthur Zambada and Mary Lou Henderson, Cindy lived a life defined by strength, compassion, and an unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

During her years of dedicated service as a corrections officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Cindy formed many lifelong friendships. Her strong spirit and kind heart touched countless lives.

She found joy in making things with her hands and sharing her creations with those around her. Cindy often turned paintings, Legos, and various arts and crafts into treasured keepsakes.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved grandparents, Bill Henderson, Helen Henderson, and Salomon Alvarado Zambada; her aunt, Juanita Zambada; and her cherished cousins, Maya and Rayshawn (“Baby Ray”).

Cindy’s memory will live on through her loving parents; her sons, Santiago IV “James,” Chris, Gabriel, and Johnny (Yesenia) Arambula; her siblings, Michael Zambada and Michelle Soria; her adored nieces, Rheanna, Reagan, and Rayne Soria, and Scarlett, Makala, and Kendra Zambada; and her grandson, Johnny Jr. She also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Family visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by public visitation at 12:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her most trusted friends, who went above and beyond during her final days. Cindy’s beauty, strength, creativity, and love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
