Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Beery

March 26, 1949 — August 11, 2021

Cynthia Ann Lozano Beery joined her family in Heaven on August 11, 2021. Cindy was born on March 26, 1949, to Ernest Lozano and Lucy Chimelak in Harlingen, Texas. To know Cindy was to know true selflessness. She deserves every descriptor of a good person anyone could conceive. She made an almost instantaneous connection with every person that walked in front of her path, from drive through employees to fellow shoppers on the aisles at Walmart. Cindy spoke fondly of her early childhood growing up in San Benito, making lifelong connections with her cousins but after suffering a loss, the family moved to Houston for the next chapter in life with her mother and stepfather, Joe Chimelak. Houston is where Cindy met David. The two married in 1972, and after an adventurous few years in Maryland, they settled in the South Belt area where they raised their two sons and formed deep roots for the next 43 years. After losing David in 2017, Cindy went on to travel the world and invest an incredible amount of time into her 4 grandchildren, who were the most important people to her. She sold her home, and the last few months of her life were spent planning the next chapter. She dreamed of simple country living, raising horses and chickens, and sitting on the porch listening to the sounds of nature. Cindy is survived by her sister, Mary, brothers Ernie and wife Cathy, Chris and wife Yvonne and Joe. Her three sisters in law, Sallie Watts and Faye Beery and Cathy Lozano. Her sons, Daniel and wife Sara and Robert. And most importantly to our Tutu, her four grandchildren, Parker, Emily, Max, and Quinn. Plus, several nieces and nephews and lifelong friends. Cindy is preceded in death by her husband David. Her mother Lucy, father Ernest and stepfather Joe and her brother Andy and her beloved cat, Socks.
