Brian Shannon Collard

Brian Shannon Collard, affectionately known as “Cowboy” by his friends, passed away on June 29, 2025, in Angleton, Texas, at the age of 63.

Born on September 12, 1961, in Brenham, Texas, Brian was a man of deep character, quiet strength, and grit. He was a proud father, loyal brother, and a steadfast friend — a man who made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He had a deep love for music and found great joy in singing, whether performing familiar favorites or songs he wrote himself. His music, much like his stories, reflected his warmth, humor, and stubborn spirit.

He is survived by his children, Micah Thompson and husband John Thompson, Brianna Collard, and Chance Collard; his siblings, Brent Collard and wife Patty Collard, Bret Collard and wife Annette Collard, Micah Lawson and husband Francisco Perez and Johnie Mack Collard. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends who loved him deeply and will continue to honor his memory.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Brian’s life.

Brian Shannon Collard will be missed beyond words. His songs, his stories, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
