Betty Jean Middleton, 84, of Angleton, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025 in Angleton, Texas.

Born on September 20, 1941, in Hearne Texas (Robertson County), to her parents: Walter Woodrow and Mary Ellen (Wiese) Lastor. Betty lived a life defined by love, kindness, and devotion to her family. She was a steadfast mother, grandmother, and friend whose gentle spirit and warm heart touched all who knew her. Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed spending the summers with her children, James and Elizabeth.

She is survived by her son, James Middleton (wife, Kresta); granddaughter, Kathryn Macy; and son-in-law, David Macy. Her memory will live on in their hearts and in the many lives she brightened along her journey.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James R. Middleton; cherished daughter, Elizabeth Macy; and dear brothers, Charles Lastor and Walter Lastor.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Betty will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her strength, grace, and unwavering love for her family.

At the family’s request, those attending Betty’s Celebration of Life are encouraged to wear bright colors to honor her bright and joyful spirit.
