Austin Marion Vermillion

Austin Marion Vermillion, 49, of Angleton passed away on July 30, 2025, in Houston. Austin was born on June 21, 1976, in Freeport to Verly Louis and Elizabeth Ann (Sossamon) Vermillion.

Austin liked anything and everything outdoors. Whether that be building a fence, playing with the dogs, or just walking down the street to explore, camping or throwing a ball, if it was outside he was down with it. Austin loved sports, he had a God given talent for baseball and football, he really enjoyed being part of a team. He was very meticulous when it came to work, everything had to be perfect. If it wasn’t, it would be completely redone, no matter what it was he was working on. He was definitely a perfectionist; God rest his soul.

Those that preceded him in death include: His former wife, Tanya Theis. His Papaw and Mamaw, D.J. and Mildred Sossamon, his Grandpa and Nanny Goat, Austin Nicolas and Oma Marie Vermillion.

Left to remember him are his children: Dylan Vermillion and Rubee Garrison, parents Louis V. and Elizabeth (Betty) Vermillion, siblings Vernon Vermillion, Daniel Vermillion and wife Rebecca, Lisa Vermillion-Zapoli and husband Tony Zapoli, nieces and nephews Vincent Vermillion, Timothy Vermillion, Joshua Vermillion, Hunter Vermillion, Brittany Vermillion, Haley Vermillion, Courtney Vermillion, Taylor A. Arroyos, and Autumn Skye Hill, and numerous other family members and friends.
