Alicia Zambada, 91, of Angleton, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026. She was born on June 21, 1934, and lived a life deeply rooted in love, faith, and family.
On April 27, 1955, Alicia married the love of her life, Salomon Alvarado Zambada, in Raymondville, Texas. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with devotion, joy, and shared adventures. A devoted wife, mother, and matriarch, Alicia found her greatest happiness in caring for her family and traveling alongside her husband. Her life reflected resilience, warmth, and unwavering love.
Alicia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Salomon Zambada; her parents, Ramon and Luz Villanueva; her daughter, Juanita Zambada; her granddaughters, Cynthia L. Charles and Maya Rivera; her great-grandson, Ray S. Hudson Jr.; her brothers, Juan, Pedro, Nasario, and Eluterio Villanueva; and her sister, Candelaria Jimenez.
She is survived by her loving children: Arthur Zambada (wife Dora), Jose Salomon Zambada (wife Barbara), Alfredo Zambada (wife Joann) and daughter Frances Rivera. Alicia also leaves behind a large and cherished family of 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom carry her spirit, strength, and love forward.
Alicia was a cook by trade and worked in various restaurants throughout Angleton. Her warm laughter, generous heart, and gift for storytelling touched many lives within her community. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Alice Zambada’s life was a testament to the power of family, friendship, and love. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
