John William Taylor, Sr John William Taylor, Sr., 92, of Angleton passed away Monday June 22, 2015 in Galveston. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 at Palms. Graveside services and burial will be in St Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Raceland, Louisiana. John was born November 20, 1922 in Barling, Arkansas to Alvin & Grace (Bullington) Taylor. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and retired from Dow Chemical. John was a man of God who taught Sunday school for many years. He was a man of many talents and through God used his talents to serve his fellow man. He was a great husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather and he never met a stranger. John was preceded in death by his parents Alvin & Grace Taylor, his brother Bruce, his first wife Thelma and sister-in-law, Winnie. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Georgette Borne Taylor Children; Rhonda Potts and husband Donnie, Brenda Rose & husband Bill, James Taylor & wife Carol, Margie Pringle & husband George, Ricky Borne & wife Vicky, Dean Borne & wife Kim, Todd Borne, John Taylor & wife Jackie Taylor, Jr 20 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren.
