Irene ‘Davis' Adams Irene ‘Davis' Adams, was born on September 29, 1927 in Applesprings, Texas to William Sherman Oliver and Lorena Ann Anderson Oliver, and went home to be with her Lord on Friday, February 28, 2014. She and her husband, James Murphy Davis were residents of Angleton, Texas and moved to Hope, Arkansas in 1973 where they owned and operated a cattle and poultry farm. After the death of her husband, Irene moved back to Angleton, Texas. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Angleton, Texas. There she married Lloyd Morgan Adams. After his death in 2009, Irene moved back to Hope, Arkansas. She lived at Hope Haven Retirement and then, at Heather Manor Nursing Home. Irene will be laid to rest next to her first husband and father of her children. Irene is survived by her beloved sons, James M. Davis Jr and wife Carolyn of Normangee, Texas; Richard W. Davis and wife Jackie of Emmet, Arkansas; Charles W. Davis, and wife Janet of North Richland Hills, Texas; and Roger D. Davis and wife Diane of Emmet, Arkansas. Grandchildren include, James and Shane Davis, Wayne Davis, Christina Crump and Chad Davis, Christopher and Phillip Davis. Great grandchildren are Jake and Brooke Davis, Chance Davis, Jillian and Jordan Crump; Isaiah, Leah and Enoch Davis. Also daughter of husband Lloyd Adams, Donna Mutina and husband Jerry, grandchildren DeAnna Holloway and Charles Morgan Mutina and children. She was preceded in death by her parents Sherman and Lorena Oliver; husbands James Murphy Davis and Lloyd Morgan Adams; brothers Helton Oliver and Clyde Oliver. Also preceded in death by her sister Allene Johnston and granddaughter Connie Davis. Visitation for Mrs. Irene Davis Adams will be Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel in Angleton, Texas. With Reverend Chris Davis and Mike Hammond officiating. Interment is to follow at Restwood Memorial Park in Clute, Texas. Pallbearers will be: Wayne Davis, Chad Davis, Phillip Davis, Dennis Oliver, Clyde Oliver and Lewis Stewart. Irene was a devoted Christian and attended church at every opportunity as her health would allow. She will be truly missed by her friends and family.
