Catherine Blondina Hechler, 90, of Danbury passed away Saturday, November 07, 2015 in Sugar Land. Catherine was born Nov. 30, 1924 in Bay City, Texas to Blondina Anna and Ronald Samuel Peltier. She retired from Danbury Independent School District after 30 years of service as an elementary and special education teacher. The rosary will be recited Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Danbury with the funeral mass following at 11:00am. Viewing will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Danbury. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Hechler in 2007, brothers, Jerome Joseph "Jay" Peltier, Edmund "Slo" Peltier, John Raymond Peltier, Wilfred "Pete" Peltier, James "Homer" Peltier, sister, Ronalda Peltier, sisters-in-law, Margaret Peterson Peltier, Merle Harvey,Catherine "Catine" Peltier, and brother-in-law, Dwain "Bones" Morrow. She is survived by her brothers, Richard "Chet" Peltier, and wife Irene of Manvel, Thomas Peltier and wife, Lexa of Huntsville, sisters Dorothy "Dot" Marrow of Angleton, sister-in-law Esta Peltier of Canyon Lake, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Richard "Chete" Peltier, Tom Peltier, Lonnie Lostak, and Frank Peltier. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.
