Alvis Roudolph Sanders, 90, of Angleton went home to his Lord and Saviour on July 27, 2022. Alvis began his life journey in San Augustine County where he was born to Lucias James (Jim) and Zora (Roberts) Sanders. His journey took him on many paths, one that included the United States Army. He proudly served his country and obtained the rank of Corporal. He met Nellie, the woman who would become his lifetime partner, and they married in San Augustine, Texas.
