Betty Jean Sparks

Betty Jean Sparks, 79, of Angleton, passed away July 26, 2010. She was born October 25, 1930, in Bastrop, Texas to Ronald Richard Reedy and Nell Hoffman Reedy.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dick Reedy and Jerry Reedy; grandson, Randy Sparks, II and great grandson Randy Sparks, III.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Willis Sparks of Corpus Christi, James Randolph Sparks and wife Lynette of Angleton, Alfred Ricky Sparks and friend Kathy Curlee of Angleton, Russell Lee Sparks and wife Hitomi of Portugal; grandchildren, Yohei Sparks, Brandt Sparks, Danna Sparks, Kyndole Bennett and husband Garrett Bennett; step-grandson, Justin Soell; step-great granddaughter Sophia Soell, and nephews, Steven Reedy, Mark Reedy and Jimmy Reedy.

Betty loved her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 10:00 am at the Palms Funeral Home Chapel in Angleton, with Thomas Lester officiating; burial will follow at the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 5-7pm at Palms.
