Jacob Anton Bludau

Funeral services for Jacob Anton Bludau, 76, of Angleton will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton with Father Roy Oggero and Father Maurice Restivo officiating. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with vigil for the deceased at 7:00 p.m. and rosary at 7:30 with the Knights of Columbus.
Jacob was born November 7, 1933 in Hallettsville, Texas to Henry and Annie Woitaske Bludau and passed away Saturday,. August 14, 2010 in Angleton.
He has been a member of the Catholic community of Angleton for nearly 55 years, a vested Knight of 52 years with Council # 5155 Knights of Columbus, and proud member of the Angleton Fire Department for 20 years and retired from Southwestern Bell in 1986. He bowled countless seasons in the Seniors Bowling League, and he thoroughly enjoyed many travels and card games with friends. Most of all, Jake cherished time spent watching and cheering his four grandsons in their athletic contests.
Jacob was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Henry Bludau, Jr., daughter, Carol Bludau, brother-in-law, Leo Schmidt and sister-in-law, Patricia Bludau. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Sylvia Bludau of Angleton, son, Nelson Bludau and wife, Patti of Angleton, daughter, Cheryl Ragsdale and husband, James of Angleton, sisters, Dorothy Schmidt of High Hill, Texas, Ruth Meyer and husband, George of Alvin, grandchildren Cody and Corey Crittenden, Tyler and Tucker Bludau, great grandchild, Addison Crittenden and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Eric Smith, Alton Westberry, Cody Crittenden, Corey Crittenden, Tyler Bludau, and Tucker Bludau.
