Dale Leon Johnson

August 13, 1937 ~ August 14, 2010

Dale Leon Johnson, 73, of Angleton passed away Saturday August 14, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family. He was born August 13, 1937 in Amarillo, Texas.

Dale retired from Monsanto in 1993 and enjoyed dancing and fellowship with all of his friends at the American Legion Hall post 241 in Angleton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wade Johnson, son, Anthony “T J” Johnson and wife, Dorothy Johnson. Dale leaves behind many loved ones including his mother Lorraine Powell Johnson, sister and brother-in-law, Walyn and Dorothy Jean Gibson, his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Faye Johnson, son Mitchel Johnson, daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa and Nelson Taylor, grandson Ryan Wade Johnson, granddaughters Lindsay Johnson and Leslie Johnson, great granddaughter Aubrey Bull, step daughters, Teresa and her husband Royce Goodwine and Diann and her husband Art Dannhaus, step sons, Paul and Bobby Boullion and several nieces and nephews

The family will welcome visitors from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday August 16, 2010 at Palms Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday August 17, 2010 at Palms Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Wade Johnson, Michael Morrow, Bill Batterton, Edwin Vrazel, Paul Boullion, Bobby Boullion and Rudy Karen.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Clarence Gardovsky, Glenn Comiskey, Howard Cox, and John H Cook.
