Nadine Scruggs

July 6, 1906 ~ October 31, 2008

Nadine Scruggs, 102 of Angleton, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Country Village Care Center in Angleton.
Nadine was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Angleton where she taught Sunday School for many years and also played the piano and organ. She was a past Grand Matron and Life-time member of the Angleton Chapter of Eastern Star, and was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Daughters of the Nile and the Angleton-Danbury Hospital Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; son, Tommie Joe; daughter, Bobbie Gene Morgan and granddaughter, Paula Cope of Lubbock, Texas.
She is survived by five grandchildren; Sharla Laughner and Rochelle Murray of Lake Jackson, TX, Jo Quinn Garza of Ingleside, TX, Ronnie Morgan of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Jeff Scruggs of Beaumont, TX. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Nadine’s family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3rd at Palms Funeral Home Chapel in Angleton. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Palms Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Bill Savage, Andy Bouse, Johnny Hatthorn, Joe Ward, Mickey McGaugh and Charles Bouse.
Honorary Pallbearers are the Angleton-Danbury Hospital Auxiliary and members of the Order of the Eastern Star.
