Floyd Merl “Doc” Ward

Floyd Merl “Doc” Ward was born on September 24, 1922 in Gainesville, Texas. On October 2, 2008, he passed from this world to his heavenly home.
Doc earned his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Texas A&M University in 1948. He moved to Angleton to start a veterinary practice in 1952. For fifty years, he became an extended family member in many Angleton homes by caring for their pets.
Doc is survived by his wife, Tena Ward; their daughter, Tracy Ward; his daughter, Karen Bogue; and grandchildren, Stephanie, Jarrod, Mason, and Kerry.
A visitation will be held at Palms Funeral Home on Sunday, October 5th from 6-8 PM, followed by a memorial service on Monday, October 6th at 4 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Angleton.
I lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to IPH Hospice in Angleton or to the First Presbyterian Church in Angleton.
