Maxine Svoboda



Maxine Svoboda, 79, lifetime resident of Angleton, Texas passed away on July 10, 2010. Services will be Tuesday, July 13th at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist church of Angleton with Rev. Bonnie Cowing officiating. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, July 12th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home.

Maxine was born in Angleton, Texas to John and Ann Gandy. She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church. Maxine retired from the Angleton School District. She was a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy. Survivors include son, Mike of Angleton; daughters, Debbie Sims & husband David of Rosharon, Kim Ridling and husband Dalton of Mandeville, LA; grandchildren, Suzy Ford & husband, David, Allison Dasher and husband Ron, Mike Svoboda, Jr. and wife, Nicole, Jill Raley & husband, Greg, Justin Voss and wife, Stephani, Amy Sims & Casey Dike, Courtney Voss, Jill Hudehid and husband, Ghazi; great grandchildren, Jimmy Lee Voss, Jr. & Jenni Lynn Voss, deceased, Blayne Svoboda, Koi Ford, Gregory, Gage and Gracie Raley, Tyler, Jackson & Sadie Dasher, Hannah & Trey Voss and Chace Dike. She is also survived by her sister, Cherry Martin and husband Paul and brother, Maxie Gandy.
