Victor John Veselka

Victor John Veselka, 98, of Angleton, went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2010 in Angleton, Texas.
Victor was born on January 26, 1912 to Frank and Mary Veselka in Madison County, Texas. He was a life long resident of Brazoria County after moving here at a young age.
Victor was an area fisherman and shrimper who operated Vic’s Bait Camp on Bastrop Bayou, near Hoskins Mound, from 1935 until 1970. He then sold the bait camp, but continued to operate a bait stand in Lost Lake for another eighteen years. He retired from the bait business after 53 years in 1988 and lived in his home near Angleton where he loved tending to his garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary, brothers, Joe, William and sister Fannie.
He is survived by his sons, Lonnie Veselka and wife Karla, of Freeport, Texas and Jimmie Veselka and wife Helen of Angleton, Texas, grandchildren, David Veselka and wife Amy of Burleson, Texas and Bryan Veselka and wife Carey of Plano, Texas and Laura Campos and husband Henry of Pearland, Texas and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Caleb and Allison Veselka of Burleson, Texas, Parker Veselka of Plano, Texas, and Emily and Ryan Campos of Pearland, Texas
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in the Angleton Cemetery
