Ruby M. Coleman, 89, of Angleton, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010.
She was born December 8, 1920 to J.E. “Sonny Boy” Williams, Jr. and Polly Thompson Williams, in Angleton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, of 65 years, Olis “Butch” Coleman. She is survived by her daughter; Frances Leist and husband Jerry of Angleton, son; Ken Coleman of Houston; grand daughters, Gretchen Sanders and husband Kelly of Blanco, and Rachel Cook and husband David of Angleton; great grandchild, Jacob Coleman Sanders of Blanco; brother, J.E. “Sonny” Williams III of Fremont, California; sister-in-law Eileen Rich of Angleton; stepsister Mary Claire Dettman; cousins, Fern and Betty Markle of Conroe, Richard and Gloria Markle of Temple; and special wonderful friends, Jimmie Lou and Thurman Green of Angleton.
Ruby was a lifelong resident of Angleton, Texas, and loved the outdoors. She also enjoyed riding horses and doing needlepoint. She loved her family and children unconditionally.
Visitation will be 5-7pm at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton on Wednesday evening, June 30, 2010. A graveside service will be held at the Angleton Cemetery on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 10:00am, followed by a memorial service at the First United Methodist Church of Angleton at 11:00am.
Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Angleton building fund.
