Jackie Dorris, 58, of Brazoria, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010 in Dallas, TX.
Jackie was born January 30, 1952, in El Campo, TX to William Ray Dorris and Ruth Dorris.
He was preceded in death by his father; by two sons, Billy Dorris and Danny Dorris, and by a granddaughter, Kelsey Ryan. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Freeman, sons, Gary Dorris and wife, Sherry, Michael Dorris and wife Daphanie; daughters, Katherine Dorris and Correna Bush; brothers, Bruce York and wife, Phyllis, and Ricky Dorris; sisters, Shirley Watts and husband, Sonny, and Beverly Barina and husband, Dwayne; grandchildren, Jarron Freeman, Bree Ryan, Daisy Dorris, Rylee Dorris, Tori Bush, Mackynzie Dorris, Lanie Carter, Sonny Dorris and Ashton Dorris. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Jackie would help anyone in need, and was a very good handyman. He loved to fish, and fished in the Freeport Fishing Fiesta for many years. He enjoyed motorcycles, and was a member of the Brazoria County Calvary.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Andrea Matejowsky and Daryl and Jessie Watts for their loving care.
Visitation will be Tuesday June 22, 2010 from 3-5pm at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. Funeral services will be Tuesday June 22, at 5pm at Palms.
