Joseph Steve Gajewsky

August 25, 1925 ~ June 8, 2010

Joseph Steve “Joe” Gajewsky, the son of Joe A. Gajewsky and Rosalie Gajewsky, was born on August 25, 1925 in Sealy, Texas. He went to be the Lord on June 8, 2010 at the age of 84 years young. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, his wife of 27 years, Stella Mae “Lucy” Yocham Gajewsky; his brother, Bill Gajewsky; his sister, Albina Mikel; and his son, David wayne Gajewsky. He is survived by his sister, Mary Langley of Taylor; son, Tony Gajewsky and wife, Jane of Angleton; son, Joe Gajewsky and wife Darlene of Freeport; daughter Stella Foreman of Oyster Creek; daughter, Rose Gautreaux and husband, Mike of Jones Creek; son, Timothy Paul Gajewsky and wife, Missy of Brazoria; 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In his later years Joe raised quail, dove, and various game birds. He was well known locally for his delicious pickled quail eggs.
Services will be held at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Family viewing is scheduled from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010, and the family will be available for visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. directly following. Services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Palms Funeral Home Chapel in Angleton and the graveside service will follow at Restwood Cemetery in Lake Jackson, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Wade Gajewsky, Roy Langley, Jerry Lewis, Tim Gajewsky, Sr. and David Gautreaux. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Gautreaux, Michael Harwell, Cameron Tumlinson Marcus Gajewsky, Michael Gajewsky, and Gary Goff.
