Claude Morris Miles, 72, passed away at home on Thursday, July 15, 2010 in Lake Jackson, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas on August 25, 1937 to Claude C.M. Miles and Pearl Daily Miles.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Gregory Scott Miles and his brother, James Buckner Miles.

He lived in Lake Jackson, Texas for the past 28 years, and worked as a chemical engineer for the Dow Chemical Company. Claude leaves behind his wife, Barbara Miles; sons Jeff Miles of Spring, James Miles of Bryan, Jeremy Miles and wife Amy of Dallas; daughter Pamela Nagel and husband Barry Nagel of Clute; step-children, Marcia Barr and husband John of Austin, Chris Henderson of Georgia, Ron Henderson and wife Elizabeth of Austin, Randy Henderson and wife Lisa of Michigan, Lisa Runnels of Crosby; and brother, Jerry Miles and wife Arlene of Georgetown; grandchildren, Alyssa Nagel, Courtney Nagel, Jeremy M. Henderson and wife Jodi, Susan Pederson, Amy Henderson, Lee Thomsen, Roy Runnels, William Runnels, Travis Henderson, Ryan Henderson, Brandon Henderson, Kelsey Miles and Hunter Miles.

The family will welcome visitors to Palms Funeral Home in Angleton on Monday, July 19, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Chapelwood Methodist Church in Lake Jackson on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Williams, Scott Crabtree, Henry Sanchez, Dave Thompson, Roy Runnels and Lance Rosenblad. Honorary Pallbearers are Floyd Johnson, Dan Talbot, Ken Rosenblad and E.P. Bullock.
