Wayne Edward Stephens, Sr, 63, of Danbury passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2008 in Methodist Hospital. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Danbury Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 at Palms
Wayne was born June 14, 1945 in Athens, Tennessee to Hubert & Lorrain Stephens.
He retired from the USAF Medical Corp with 22 years of service. He loved fishing, hunting & the outdoors. Wayne was a retired member of Danbury VFD.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Betty Stephens of Danbury, Sons; Wayne Stephens, Jr., & James Cavet Stephens both of Angleton & Patrick Darren Stephens & wife Tracy of Lake Jackson.
Mother-in-Law; Nina Nealey of Angleton
Brothers; Noel Weir & wife Judy, Larry Weir, Matt Stephens & Benji, & Donald Stephens. Sister: Dianna Woodard all of Tennessee.
Sisters-in-law; Ginny Barrow of Danbury & Beth Jones & husband Mel of Colonial Heights, Va
Grandchildren; Geoffery Meeks, James Stephens, Jr., Catherine Stephens, Jacob Stephens, Madison Stephens, Jack Logan Stephens & Allison Peavey
Members of Danbury Volunteer Fire Department will serve as pallbearers
